Removed components and fixed cabinetry
Doors, drawer fronts and other removable components are labelled, taken down and sprayed away from the property. This allows them to be prepared and coated in an organised sequence without trying to finish every component inside the kitchen.
Fixed frames, end panels, plinths and suitable built-in elements are prepared and sprayed on site. Worktops, appliances, floors, walls, openings and adjoining finishes are carefully masked before application.
Not every swollen, damaged or delaminating component is suitable for coating. We inspect the condition first and explain where repair or replacement may be the better option.
The coating specification
Adhesion first. Enamel finish for durability.
We do not treat ordinary primer as sufficient for kitchen cabinetry. A suitable adhesion primer is selected to create a secure base between the prepared substrate and the finish coats.
The primed surface then receives two coats of a suitable hard-wearing enamel topcoat. Renner, Tikkurila and Johnstone’s are among the principal manufacturers we use, with the product selected according to the material, existing coating, required finish and conditions of the project.

Remove
Doors and drawer fronts are labelled and taken away for controlled preparation and spraying.
Protect
Fixed cabinetry and the surrounding kitchen are carefully masked before on-site spraying.
Finish
Adhesion primer and two enamel topcoats are applied before curing, checking and refitting.

Can every kitchen be resprayed?
No. Each kitchen is assessed individually. The substrate, existing finish, condition and construction all affect whether respraying is suitable and which preparation and coating system should be used.
What coating system do you use?
We use a suitable adhesion primer to create a secure base, followed by two coats of a hard-wearing enamel finish. Products are selected for the substrate and project, with Renner, Tikkurila and Johnstone’s among the principal manufacturers we use.
Do you remove the doors?
Yes. Removable doors and drawer fronts are labelled, taken down and sprayed away from the property. Fixed frames, end panels and other suitable elements are carefully protected and sprayed in place.
How long does kitchen respraying take?
There is no single standard timescale. The size and construction of the kitchen, substrate, existing finish, repairs and number of components all affect the programme. We assess each project individually and explain the expected sequence before work starts.
Is the finish resistant to scratches and damage?
The adhesion primer and hard-wearing enamel topcoats are selected to create a durable finish for normal use. No paint system can prevent damage from impacts, sharp objects or other mechanical abuse.
