PAINTTEC LTD has worked across Edinburgh and the Lothians since 2010. Our work includes residential and commercial painting and decorating, Ames taping, spray painting, kitchen and furniture spraying, wallpaper hanging and airless spray plastering.
Good results are rarely about the final coat alone. We assess the substrate, explain the practical options and select preparation, application and coating systems for the surface in front of us. Protection, organisation and clean working are treated as part of the job.
Edinburgh properties often combine older plaster, detailed cornices, sash windows, panelling and later alterations. That experience matters when deciding what should be repaired, preserved, brushed, rolled or sprayed.

Janusz began his career after completing college, gaining practical experience with established Ames taping and decorating companies, including Dobie & Son Decorators in Edinburgh.
When Dobie & Son Decorators ceased trading during the global financial downturn, Janusz began working independently. The client base grew steadily through quality workmanship, reliable service and fair pricing. Many of those early clients still use PAINTTEC today.
The business moved increasingly into Ames taping and secured larger projects, including the conversion of a farm into six luxury steadings and holiday lodges in John o’ Groats.
A relationship began with one of Edinburgh’s larger property developers. The quality and reliability of our work led from Ames taping contracts to complete Ames taping, painting and decorating packages.
With the workload and team growing, First Class Tapers Ltd was incorporated. More experienced Ames tapers and decorators joined the team, allowing us to undertake larger residential developments.
Painting and decorating, spray painting and spray plastering became an increasing part of our work. Ames taping remained a core service, but the company had developed beyond its original specialism.
The PAINTTEC name was introduced to better represent our full range of painting, decorating and specialist spray-finishing services.
We work on private homes, commercial properties and major developments. Recent contracts include painting and decorating luxury lodges and cottages at The Renaissance Club at Archerfield for MNM Developments.

This gives our clients better coordination, consistent workmanship and clear responsibility throughout the project—from initial surface preparation and Ames taping or spray plastering to the final painted finish.
Because every stage is managed directly by PAINTTEC, our clients do not need to coordinate several separate trades or deal with gaps in responsibility between different contractors.
